Asset Tracking & Coding

Tracking assets is an important concern of every Hospital, regardless of size. Hospital major capital expenditure is on assets and yet very poorly tracked. Assets include medical devices, laboratory equipment's and many, such as computers, tools, software, or office equipment etc. Without an accurate method of keeping track of these assets it would be very easy for a company to lose control of them. Our interventions would study the assets currently present and are being used and the Asset tracking software would help to track what assets the hospital owns, where each asset is located, who has it, when it was checked out, when it is due for return, when it is scheduled for maintenance, and the cost and depreciation of each asset. Each asset is coded using bar code, hence its easy to track in the future. The reporting option that is built into asset tracking solutions provides complete reports, including assets by category and department, check-in/check-out, net book value of assets, assets past due, audit history, and transactions. All these information resource available to the entire Hospital based on the user rights settings. This allows smooth functioning of Hospital and the information about assets that are required are up to date.

BASIC INVENTORY DATA

Item ID, Warehouse ID, Item Alias (nickname), Item Group to allow grouping of items, Item Primary Description, Item Extended Description, Item Category, Item Type (Equipment, fixed , Movable Material, Other) Bin Number, Place of Material, Bill of Materials, Tagging to bill ( high value item – optional).

MATERIALS MANAGEMENT DATA

Total lost, total scrapped, total sold, total in stock, total reserved project ID and project sub-category (optional - item procured for specific project).
